Hello boys and girls, Miss Bonnie here, and this is a small comp on how to beat the **** out of people, using the gloriously overpowered unarmed skill. This comp isn't a Be-all/End-all guide, but more of a brief outline on where to find the best ****.
lets begin.
Unarmed is great, as it gives you a weapon wherever you are, as they can't take away your fists, although the weapons that cover them can do monumental damage. unarmed weapons come i many shapes as well, from the fatigue damaging boxing gloves (which are **** but fun), to the pure pain that is the ballistic fist, and everything in between. The biggest drawbacks to unarmed is the lack of ranged abilities, its low on creativity, due to lack of variety and that its tough to start with.

Now, when you start off, don't bother tagging unarmed, as all it gives you is ****** boxing tape, instead focus on your secondary skills, whilst chucking the odd few points into unarmed. the nearest actually useful weapon is either in primm, where theres a bladed gauntlet in the bison steve, or if you have the balls for it you can go to bonnie springs, just past the cazador territory, and grab Lova and Hate.
Now, after that, you can do the whole 'yay, explore, quests, caps, fun!' for a while, up until you get to novac. Once there you should buy a powerfist from whatever his name is (the shop guy there). and also head into Ranger Andy's home and pass a 30 speech check to make him feel good, and he'll teach you an amazing unarmed attack (backwards power attack)
With the powerfist, you could finish the game, but odds are you want the ultimate power, so you will be wanting a ballistic fist. easiest way to get one is to head to Caesars fort, and then just simply kill his Praetorian guards (and for those weirdos who want to side with Caesar, you can stealth kill the guards in the weather room, and avoid angering everyone). Before you do that though, talk to Lucius, and he'll teach you another unarmed power attack (50 unarmed required.)
With a ballistic fist, you could knockout the world, and it will carry you throughout the game. almost no weapon can compare to it, so with this power all that is left to learn is the final power attacks. One can be taught by the Great Khans, all that you need to do is complete the quest Aba Daba Honeymoon (if you can't complete, it means you've already killed motor runner, the head fiend in vault 3). The Khan trick can be used to steal weapons easily, as it can force your enemies to drop their weapons.
The final special unarmed attack is taught by veronica, and all you gotta do is give her a dress (just use a White Glove Society outfit)
While the weapons are great, the unarmed power comes from its move set. at 50 unarmed you can do an uppercut, that causes knockback, and at 75 unarmed you get to do a cross attack, which does increased limb damage. Much like melee, you do double damage per hit in V.A.T.S, so use that with care. and as a final thought, the best thing is the perk paralyzing palm, which grants an attack that can paralyze any enemy, be they roach or deathclaw, but the you must be competely unarmed during it.
