Firstly forgive me for posting an Assetto Corsa pic - the same thing can happen for me in pCars, but it's more pronounced in AC, hence the pic. Notice if you will the striped shadows on the car.

Does anyone know what causes it? It's very similar I believe to the 'Skyrim Shadow Striping' issue, but I've seen no fixes that I can apply to other games.
Surely others have this issue? I've read it's caused by LOD or Ambient Occlusion but I'm not sure.

- To make Shadows even better you can make sure you have these enabled, or in the case of ShadowDistance put it anywhere from 1.000000 to 1.90000 without problems, although it will use more resources the higher the distance, putting it above 1.900000 can cause a small shadow glitch to the front right of your character.
- Thanks for making this thread, tr15tanp, and going through the trouble. I've had this same problem. I didn't notice it so much when I first started playing b/c of all the graphics 'wow' factor, but once I started paying attention to the (jagged, weird, horizontal lines) shadows around campfires, and started noticing a similar effect happening on distant mountaintops sometimes during the day.
- Remove striping, and improve shadow quality.
